She had a friend.

This writing contains explicit content and is only for adults. You have been warned.

“Shut that brat up!”

Nonononono, please, no. Don’t sound like that! If you sound like that then you sound like him and if you sound like him you might wake HER! Hush little baby, don’t say a word . . . She’s only a baby, can’t be more than two, she can’t help it that she’s bored, she doesn’t understand this metal death trap is stuck. Her poor mom, she looks tired, please quiet the baby so the old man won’t yell. Please?!

“I’m sorry, sir, but she doesn’t understand what’s happening, and yelling certainly won’t help anything.”

She seems so calm, why couldn’t my mom be like that? Tired, but calm? She stood up for her daughter, that would have been nice. I wonder what it’s like to have a mom who stands up for you? One who tells strangers that they are wrong? A beautiful mom with black hair and a white stripe down the side who sings softly in an elevator that is . . . NO! Can’t think that anymore . . . might wake Her up. Doesn’t like being trapped, can’t get out, someone will come save me . . . Why? What did I do?
“Mommy, what’s wrong with her? Why’s she hitting the buttons?”

Gotta get this thing started. Go, go go. Before it’s too late . . . Start start start.
“Crazy bitch is humming to herself. Hey, looney-tunes, hitting the buttons isn't gonna help none.”

Shut up, shut up, “Shut up, you fucking, stupid old man! You think you can just say or do whatever you want just because you’re older than dirt?!”

A hand? Touching me?! How DARE they! Hurt them, hurt them before they hurt us! Locked in a closet, can’t get out . . . Why? I didn’t do anything! Please, please, let me out, daddy, I’ll be good. Shut up! He’ll never let us out. Not unless he wants to hurt us. Can’t let it happen, not again. Won’t be trapped . . . Hush little baby . . . I said shut up! That won’t work. Need to get out! NOW!
“It’s okay, young lady. Just calm down. No one is going to hurt you. The elevator will start again.”

Listen to her, she’s nice she protected her baby . . .SHUT. UP. No one is nice. . . Mom didn’t protect, she stood aside and let us get hurt, beat, punished . . . NO! STOP! You can’t do this! Not again! Please! Please, stop! So much red, pain, screaming . . . stop. Stop! Beautiful red. . . Crying . . . a baby cries. Hush little baby, don’t say a word, mama’s gonna buy you a mocking bird. Shhhh, it’s okay.

“ . . . when rescue personnel finally got the doors to the elevator opened, they found the young woman, covered in blood, rocking the crying infant. According to officials, when the doors opened, the woman said only, ‘I’m sorry.’”
