soul mates

He hunts down innocent victims
On a lonely highway to hell.
No one knows him, no one sees him.
He knows the outbacks so well.
Lifting a thumb to traffic,
Hoping that someone will stop.
Ceasing a moment so perfect,
His innocent face they bought.

Several miles down the highway,
He pulls out an 8 inch blade.
Telling them it's their last day.
For the mistake that they made.
Children crying in the back seat
Its mid day, with unbearable heat
The driver panics flooring the gas
Beautiful day, too bad it was their last.
