She had a friend.

You said sorry doesn’t make up for anything. Then why do you keep saying it? If it does nothing then why bother wasting your breath? If you use that excuse on me, then I should use it on you. But I don’t. I let you say sorry; making you think it does something. I know what you’ll say if I say it. It’s pointless to waste your time but mine wouldn’t be wasted. I would let you know what I have been thinking for the past three months. You would know that no matter how many times you say it, the pain will still be there. Even if you return I can only lie and say it doesn’t hurt anymore. It is only a lie. When you’re around, you’re like pain medication. Making me forget about the pain. Not a permanent fix but it helps for some time. Once you leave, the pain comes back like a bullet to my heart. You take the medication away leaving me worse off than before. All I crave is for the old you back. Please come back. I miss you. I need you. If you come back, it better not be just to apologize again. But if you don’t come back, I don’t want to hear from you again. I won’t understand why you didn’t come back for a while but I’ll get over it. My heart will heal. Only scars will be left. My heart can’t take much more of this. Sorry does nothing if the damage is done.
