Under the Double Star - Chapter One

Even though I was copying this off my scrapbook and knew what I was typing, I still cried.

You're such a great "go-to" person... for listening, for talking, and for hugs.

Mom you were always there to listen to me. I would talk to you about everything from school to what I was feeling at that moment. Your hugs were so great! When I would hug you, I would get this feeling.. a feeling of security. I knew that you were always going to be there for me, that whenever I just needed a hug.. you would be there. Whenever I just needed someone to talk to, you would be there. Whenever I needed someone to cry to, you would be there to hold me in your arms until I had no more tears. You were always there...

Thank you for being home base for my heart.. the person I can count on when I am over-the-moon with joy or when I feel disappointed, broken hearted and just plain tired of being a "grown-up-in-progress."

You were always there to listen to my exciting stories that I had for the day. I would always talk to you about how my day was at school; I would tell you about my friends, teachers, and whatnot. You were always happy when I would tell you my crazy stories. There was never any times when I was sad or broken hearted because you always taught me to be happy. Well you didn't necessarily teach me that but I learned it from you. You always had a smile on your face... even when you were sad or stressed, you were always full of joy. You always looked at life in a positive way. Now, I am learning to do that myself.
