soul mates

I wrote this for my little sister Maggie when she was two years old

Those stars in your sky shine just as bright

Early Monday morning as they did Sunday night

Don't be fooled because you can not see them

The flowers have feelings that need to be freed

Child, don't cry because your rose makes you bleed

But be happy that it blooms

"A rainbow? Illusion! you can't find the end,

and your happiest memories are only pretend"

Don't let them tell you that you can't make believe

You can do anything

       love, your big sister
