soul mates

Jesus was found in the fine lines
The riptide of cumulative tide lines
A dark wave ridden
In the sea of told-you-so's
And I'll drink myself sober on red wines

I'm not one of the non-of-the-above's
I'll spread my wings like a falling dove
When love's forbidden
In the random throngs and throes
To live in a world without new love

An ocean was drank in your name
A mountain fell to make me tame
Just a few broken kids
In hollowed out spaces
And we have no one at all to blame

I have never been in my right mind
I refuse to believe that love's blind
With heavy eyelids
And somber graces
Jesus was found in the fine lines
