What "trips" your "trigger"?

When the sun slips into the depths

And that long, thin line between shore and sky bids me adieu

And the fish begin to languish

I reel in my line and gather in my stringer

As I prepare to make my way home

The birds quiet their piccolo calls 3 comments

While the frogs pick up the cadence

The wild iris yells at me,

Its fragrance calling for my attention

While its thin blades thrust for the coming stars.

Two deer swim the narrows, silent

Except for the erupting water.  Their urge to capture the far

Shore is so great that they abandon all caution.

As they gain the opposite shore, I notice that

"The stillness" pervades,

That special stillness that says all is right

My senses are at peace

The lake has done its magic once again
