She had a friend.

Super short story.

September 29, 2004, I lost the woman that I loved with all my heart and soul, my best friend but above all my mother. My heart aches when I think about this day every year. Whether it's a Mother's Day or your birthday, I hate facing it. You're not around anymore for us to celebrate and it hurts. It's been 9 years and I still haven't put it through my head that you're gone; I'm hoping to run into you at the store one day. I miss you mom and that'll never change. You keep shining that smile and holding my hand through life... I love you and wish you enough.

Todos te extrañamos Leana! Cómo quisiera tenerte aquí a mi lado madre.
