soul mates

I, all of a sudden, felt the need to get back to nature. Humour me awhile, won`t you?

Upon the lofty crag
the eagle pondered
as eagles often do
he looks into the sun
as eagles often dare
in the face
of the troubled storm
they do not flinch
because, quite simply
this is what eagles do

He sees far beyond
human limitation
the troubles and toils
of this life
at those he does scorn
because this is what eagles
often do
hear him cry
in the sacred places
where man has never been

He drinks
from crystal lakes
where man has never been
and wonders why
in his majestic solitude
no other
has ever been
