soul mates

When I was very young

I watched for the rain.

A chance to go and be alone.

The rain kept others away

So I might enjoy each drop.

It was special to feel

Each drop on my face only for me.

Alone, and all mine.

I still ask how the rain was this way.

It just was, and is the same.

I wait again for the rain.
