More from Jordan Newman

i see angels above me, i see demons below me, fighting over heaven.
i loved her more when i was sober.
i don't want a second chance.
love starts with that of a flickerin' cigarette
i swear i could feel your love before i knew your name.

soul mates

sorry for lack of capitalization

it seems that there is nothing to be done
that future i was scared of is long gone
my past is now what has me constantly worrying
perhaps one day it'll all come back again
except time fades when we rely on praying
it's the same thing as waiting for nothing

lately i have been consumed by this feeling
which to me is something completely foreign
then suddenly i realized whose its relation
it comes as a collation to having no pain
for the first time since I've been breathing
that my soul is free from all that suffering

which means what you have been saying all along
has turned out to be true, who knew, my darling?
I'm a fool but you knew that since day one.
now that the hell is gone it seems it's missing
like without it here I'm not the same person.
how people can get addicted to things like poison
is a mystery that remained aloof to my understanding
even now when it turns out I'm just as plain.
